What Vivo had confirmed for the V80
According to Mobigyaan, Vivo confirmed a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with up to 144Hz and 5,000 nits peak brightness, and a triple rear camera: a 50MP ZEISS main camera on a Sony LYTIA 700V sensor, a 50MP telephoto with OIS and 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide, plus a 50MP ZEISS front camera. The phone uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 on a 4nm process, with 8GB of RAM and up to 16GB of extended RAM. The 7,200mAh battery supports 90W FlashCharge, which Vivo says reaches 50 percent in 30 minutes. Mobigyaan gave 7.69mm and 203g, while GSMArena later listed 7.79mm and 210g. It carries IP68 and IP69 ratings.
Mobigyaan reported that it is the first V-series phone in India with Android 17 and OriginOS 7 and six years of extended security updates, in Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue and Stellar Black, sold through vivo.com, Amazon.in, Flipkart and offline stores.
The S2 FE and its big battery
Flipkart set up a microsite confirming the October 6 launch, according to My Mobile India, with visuals showing a green finish and two vertically stacked cameras in a rounded-square module. Before launch, 91mobiles described leaked specifications: a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display at 120Hz, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e, a 10,000mAh battery with 44W charging, a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera with a 2MP secondary sensor, a 32MP selfie camera, IP68 and IP69 ratings, 8.75mm and 225g, in Stellar Green, Zen White and Titan Black. The display, chip, battery, charging and colours matched the launch. My Mobile India noted the S2 FE's battery is much larger than the standard S2's 7,050mAh, with a less powerful processor.
The X Fold 6
Reports had tied the X Fold 6 to the same date, which proved correct. BusinessToday listed an 8.02-inch inner display, a Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chip, a 200MP main camera and a 6,900mAh battery with 80W charging, and warned that its price estimate, extrapolated from European listings, was not a final retail price.
