Honor WIN 2 Gaming Phone Brings a 2K 185Hz Screen, 10,100mAh Battery and a WIN Key

Honor unveiled the WIN 2 gaming phone series in China on October 21, after a run of official teasers that filled in the display, battery, cooling and a new side-mounted gaming key. Sales opened in China the same day, starting at 5,499 yuan, and Honor has not announced any international rollout (Gizchina, Android Headlines).

Panel maker Visionox called the screen the world's first 2K 185Hz phone display, which is the companies' marketing claim rather than an independently checked fact. Honor pitched the WIN RT 2's 12,070mAh cell as a smartphone first. Charging speeds were not confirmed in the coverage reviewed; one outlet claimed 100W for the standard phone without a clear source.

A physical key for haptics and touch

The new WIN Key sits on the lower part of the side frame. According to Honor, it switches haptic feedback and touch response between three levels each without opening settings mid-game, cycles through five lighting effects, and can be bound to in-game controls or used to create custom vibration patterns (Notebookcheck).

Manufacturer claims to treat with care

Honor says its twin-turbine cooling can lower temperatures by up to 10 degrees Celsius in 50 seconds, without published test conditions. It also posted an AnTuTu score above 5.7 million, which would beat the RedMagic 12 Pro+, but that is a manufacturer figure that depends heavily on the test setup (Notebookcheck). A pre-release Geekbench 6 listing for model BRM-AN00 scored 4,141 single-core and 11,514 multi-core.

Reports disagree on chips across the range: the WIN RT 2 is reportedly built on the older Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and one outlet describes the whole lineup that way, which conflicts with Honor's own "8EE6" listing for the WIN 2.

The tablet

Honor showed the WIN Tablet at the same event, with an 8.4-inch 240Hz OLED, a 10,000mAh battery and a built-in fan.

Will it come to India?

Honor's WIN gaming phones have so far been sold only in China, and none of the coverage mentions an India launch. Indian gamers should not expect one from this event; the closest options here remain gaming-focused phones from brands such as iQOO and Asus.

What to watch next

Confirmed charging speeds and full pricing across memory variants, independent tests of the cooling and battery life, and any word on a global rollout.
