Honor officially teased the Win Tablet, a compact gaming tablet with an OLED display and a refresh rate it said was above 200Hz, around October 3, according to Notebookcheck. The teaser followed an earlier confirmation that the tablet would use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor (Notebookcheck, Huawei Central).
<blockquote><strong>Update, October 25:</strong> Honor launched the Win Tablet in China on October 21 alongside the Win 2 phones. It has an 8.4-inch 1440 x 2304 OLED screen at 240Hz with 6,000 nits peak brightness, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 10,000mAh battery with 66W charging and MagicOS 11 on Android 17. Honor calls it the first tablet with a built-in fan, spinning at up to 15,000rpm, in a 6.1mm, 315g body. List prices are CNY 4,499 for 12GB and 256GB and CNY 5,499 for 16GB and 512GB, with early-bird prices of CNY 4,199 and CNY 5,199, in black and silver (<a href="https://www.gsmarena.com/honor_win2_and_win_tablet_launch_with_builtin_fans_and_big_batteries-news-75152.php">GSMArena</a>). Honor says no global release is planned.</blockquote>
What Honor confirmed before launch
The teaser showed the front of the tablet in landscape orientation, with a punch-hole front camera and rounded corners, in a design Notebookcheck compared with the Oppo Pad Mini. In mid-September, Honor had confirmed an OLED screen, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a single USB-C port and no cellular modem, so it is Wi-Fi only, with a square camera housing carrying Win branding.

The competition
Compact gaming tablets are becoming a category of their own. The iQOO Pad Ultra, launched in China on September 29, has an 8.8-inch OLED screen and starts at 6,499 yuan for 12GB and 256GB, according to Notebookcheck. Oppo's Pad Mini launched in China in April with an 8.8-inch 144Hz AMOLED screen and an 8,000mAh battery. A 240Hz panel gives Honor a headline number, though a refresh rate that high only helps in games that can reach it, and holding those frame rates without throttling depends on cooling, which is why the fan matters.
India and global availability
Honor says no global release is planned, so there is no Indian price or launch date.
What it means
The tablet shows Honor competing in a niche that Chinese brands have been opening, and the Win branding, already used on phones, points to a gaming sub-line across devices.
What to watch next
Watch for independent tests of sustained gaming performance and fan noise, and for any change to Honor's position on international sales.
