Galaxy Tab S12+ and S12 Ultra Leak Proved Close: Dimensity 9500, Higher Prices, October 7
WinFuture's leak of Samsung's two-model tablet lineup matched the official launch on the chip, screens and US prices, but slightly underestimated European prices.

Samsung's Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra leaked almost completely ahead of their October 7 launch, as a two-model lineup without a standard Tab S12, with a switch to MediaTek silicon and higher starting prices.
<blockquote><strong>Update, October 25:</strong> Samsung has made both tablets official. The leak was accurate on the Dimensity 9500, the screens, the batteries and US prices of $1,199 and $1,399. European launch prices came in slightly higher than leaked, at €1,329 and €1,569, and India prices start at ₹1,29,999 and ₹1,49,999 (<a href="https://www.sammobile.com/news/galaxy-tab-s12-plus-ultra-release-date-price/">SamMobile</a>, <a href="https://pasqualepillitteri.it/en/news/19731/samsung-galaxy-tab-s12-price-release-date">Pasquale Pillitteri</a>). What the leak showed
The details came from German outlet WinFuture and were repeated across the tech press. Before launch, Samsung had confirmed only that a Tab S12 series was coming in the second half of 2026.
| Detail | Leak | Official |
|---|---|---|
| Chip | Dimensity 9500 (3nm) | Dimensity 9500 |
| Tab S12+ display | 12.6-inch, 2,800 x 1,752, 120Hz | 12.6-inch, 120Hz |
| Tab S12 Ultra display | 14.6-inch, 2,960 x 1,848, 120Hz | 14.6-inch, 120Hz |

| Weight (Wi-Fi) | 555g (S12+), 693g (Ultra) | 553g (S12+), 692g (Ultra) |
| US price | About $1,199 and $1,399 | $1,199 and $1,399 |
| Europe price | €1,299 and €1,539 | €1,329 and €1,569 |
The leak also correctly reported 45W charging, microSD up to 2TB, Android 17 with One UI 9, an S Pen in the box, IP68 protection, seven generations of OS upgrades and grey and silver colours. It put the Ultra's rear cameras at 13MP main and 8MP ultrawide with a 12MP front camera, and said the Ultra would offer up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. One source had listed a 12.4-inch panel for the Plus, which proved wrong.
Prices are rising
The hardware changes are incremental, especially on the Ultra, which carries over its battery, cameras, weight and thickness, so higher prices are the main story. PhoneArena says the US prices are $100 higher than the previous generation.
What to watch next
Watch for independent battery and thermal tests of the Dimensity 9500, and how Samsung positions a two-model lineup without an affordable entry flagship.
