Honor calls it the first tablet with a built-in fan, and says there is no global release planned, so for now it is a China-only device.

Honor has announced the WIN Tablet in China, a compact gaming slate that it describes as the first tablet with a built-in cooling fan. It was unveiled on October 21 alongside the WIN 2 gaming phones and starts at CNY 4,499 for the base 12GB and 256GB model (9to5Google, Gizmochina).

The fan is the headline

The fan sits in the rear camera island and spins at up to 15,000rpm. Honor says it lowers temperatures by up to 8°C, letting the tablet hold high performance for longer in games than passively cooled rivals (ProPakistani). That is Honor's claim; no independent testing has been published yet.

Pre-orders are open in China, and some reports quote lower prices again with China's national subsidy. Sales start on October 31 according to most reports, with one outlet giving November 1. Dollar and euro conversions vary between outlets, so we use only the yuan prices; CNY 4,499 is roughly Rs 53,000 at current exchange rates, before any import costs.

No global launch, and nothing for India yet

Honor has said there is no global release planned for the tablet, though it has not ruled out specific regions later. Honor's phones are sold in India through a licensing partner, but no Indian launch of the WIN Tablet has been announced, and Indian gamers should not expect one on current information. The closest options here are compact Android gaming tablets such as Lenovo's Legion Tab line.

Why it matters

Gaming tablets with big batteries and high refresh rates are common, but active cooling in a 6.1mm tablet is rare. If the fan keeps the chip from throttling without adding noise, it could become a template for rivals. If it proves loud or fragile, it will remain a niche feature.

What to watch next

Independent reviews of fan noise, sustained frame rates and battery life, and any change to Honor's position on a global launch.
