Galaxy S27 Price Leaks: $899 to $999 Base, a New Pro Model and an Ultra Up to $1,499
A tipster with a mixed record first claimed Samsung would hold last year's launch prices, then a revised leak pointed higher. Samsung has confirmed nothing.
A leak claims Samsung is aiming to keep the entry price of the Galaxy S27 at $899 and to add a Pro model between the Plus and the Ultra, though a later revision of the same leak points to higher prices. Samsung has announced nothing about the series, and the source has been wrong before, so every figure below is unconfirmed (Android Authority, Notebookcheck).
<blockquote><strong>Update, October 25:</strong> A later PhoneArena report cites a revised version of the leak with higher US prices: $999 for the S27, $1,199 for the Plus, $1,399 for the Pro and $1,499 for the Ultra, with 256GB base storage. PhoneArena says those numbers are consistent with a separate report from South Korea's Chosun Daily (<a href="https://www.phonearena.com/news/galaxy-s27-series-price-prediction-how-much-will-samsungs-2027-flagships-cost_id184075">PhoneArena</a>).</blockquote>
What the leak says
The prices come from a tipster who posts as Schrödinger, also known as phonefuturist, on X, in a post dated October 7. Both Notebookcheck and Android Authority describe them as targeted prices, meaning goals Samsung may be working towards rather than final figures. The leak points to four phones: a base model, a Plus, a Pro and an Ultra. Samsung has not confirmed a Pro model or any of the names.
| Model | First leak (US) | Revised leak (US, per PhoneArena) | Leaked display panel |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S27 | $899 | $999 | M14 Plus |
| Galaxy S27 Plus | $1,099 | $1,199 | M14 Plus |
| Galaxy S27 Pro | $1,299 | $1,399 | M16 |
| Galaxy S27 Ultra | $1,399 | $1,499 | M16 |
How the numbers compare with this year
Notebookcheck says the first-leak S27 and S27 Plus prices match the launch prices of the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus. Android Authority adds that the S26 has since risen to $999 and the S26 Plus to $1,199, and that the S26 Ultra went from $1,299 at launch to $1,399, with Samsung citing pressure from the memory-chip market. The revised leak's prices would therefore match what the S26 range costs today, plus $100 on the Ultra. Those comparisons are the outlets' inferences, not Samsung statements.
The display claims
The leak says the base and Plus models use Samsung's M14 Plus OLED panel, while the Pro and Ultra move to the newer M16 display, which Notebookcheck says offers higher brightness and better efficiency. Coverage of a Korean ET News report is contradictory: some outlets cite it as supporting the M16 split, while others quote it as saying the Pro and Ultra will stay on M14 (Android Central). The panel split is not settled.
Why to be careful
Notebookcheck says the tipster has a mixed record, including earlier information about the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy Z Fold8 that proved inaccurate. It also reports that another well-known leaker, Ice Universe, dismissed one of Schrödinger's claims about the S27 Ultra's battery. Android Authority notes that rising RAM costs could change prices before launch, and the revised leak suggests that may already be happening.
A price target is also not the same as a retail price. Samsung may adjust by region, by storage tier or with launch promotions, and US prices say little about other markets. Samsung has not commented.
Launch timing
Samsung has not given a launch date. Notebookcheck says the S27 series is expected early next year, possibly in February, and Android Authority says Samsung typically launches the Galaxy S line between January and March. Separately, Samsung has reportedly begun mass production of the Exynos 2700 on a 2nm process for the series, which is also unconfirmed.
What it means for buyers
If the first leak is right, Samsung would be holding the entry price while placing more of the range above $1,200. If the revision is right, prices stay at today's raised S26 levels or climb. Early price leaks often move before launch, so waiting for official numbers is the safer course for anyone planning a purchase.
What to watch next
Watch for Samsung to confirm the lineup, including whether a Pro model exists, and for chipset and camera details that explain the price steps. Watch for corroboration from more reliable sources, and for a launch date, which Samsung usually announces only weeks before the event.
