Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Goes on Sale in India at ₹79,999, Above the ₹69,999 Leak
Samsung priced the only Indian configuration, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, at ₹79,999 for the September 18 sale. A tipster had pointed to ₹69,999 for a 128GB model.
Samsung's Galaxy S26 FE went on sale in India on September 18, more than two weeks after its early September debut in the US and Europe. Before launch, leaked pricing suggested Indian buyers would pay noticeably more than for last year's Galaxy S25 FE.

What the leak said
A leak attributed to tipster Abhishek Yadav, cited by SammyGuru, put the base 8GB plus 128GB model at ₹69,999 in India. In the US, the phone starts at $699.99, with the 8GB plus 256GB version at $799.99, both above the outgoing model's US starting price. Samsung ultimately launched only the 256GB model in India, at ₹79,999.

Ahead of the sale, registration pages were live on Samsung's India website, with dedicated microsites on Amazon India and Flipkart.
What the phone offers
The Galaxy S26 FE runs One UI 9 based on Android 17 out of the box. Its specifications include a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display at 120Hz, an Exynos 2500 processor, a triple rear camera with a 50MP OIS main sensor, IP68 dust and water resistance, and wireless charging. Battery capacity was reported at around 4,900mAh to 5,100mAh before launch, and the phone supports Galaxy AI features carried down from the Galaxy S26 line.
The Fan Edition has long been Samsung's way of offering flagship-adjacent features, a large AMOLED screen, a capable camera and clean software, below the main Galaxy S price. This year's higher price tests how much of that gap buyers will accept before the FE stops feeling meaningfully cheaper than a discounted Galaxy S26.
In India
At ₹79,999, the S26 FE costs more than the leak suggested. Indian buyers also had the benefit of global reviews before the local sale, since India's launch came about two weeks after the US and Europe.
