Samsung's Galaxy M08 4G and Galaxy F08 4G have arrived in India as budget phones with a 6,000mAh battery, a 90Hz screen and a 50MP main camera. Retail listings put them at about ₹15,999 after offers. They are essentially the same hardware as the Galaxy A08, sold through different retail channels (91mobiles, The Tech Outlook).

How the phones surfaced

Samsung listed both models on its India website, and Amazon India posters teased them, as reported on October 1 and 2. Sammyfans described it as an official debut, though Samsung issued no press release with prices. The Galaxy M08 is sold through Amazon India and the F08 through Flipkart, Samsung's usual split between its M and F series.

The six-year update promise is reported by several outlets (Nokiamob) but was not in a Samsung press release. Some older retail pages still show outdated rumoured specifications such as a 5,000mAh battery.

Price and sale

ModelRetailerListed priceEffective price
Galaxy M08 4GAmazon (sale from October 8)₹16,999₹15,999 with bank offers
Galaxy F08 4GFlipkart₹16,999₹15,999 with a ₹1,000 coupon

The M08 went on sale on October 8 during Amazon's Great Indian Festival (The Tech Outlook). No separate F08 sale date has been confirmed. Prices that include bank offers or coupons are effective prices, and they change during festive sales.

Where it fits

At around ₹15,999, the phones sit in a crowded segment. A 6,000mAh battery and a long update promise are strong selling points at this price, alongside Samsung's offline service network. The weaker points on paper are the HD+ screen and the base 4GB and 64GB memory, which will feel tight for heavy users, and the 4G-only chip in a market where 5G is common at similar prices. Camera quality, real battery life and performance await reviews.
