Xiaomi's Redmi brand has launched the K100 in China, a performance phone built around a 10,000mAh battery. GSMArena dated the launch October 28, 2026, while Beebom and Notebookcheck published on October 27, so the exact launch day in China appears to fall around those two dates. All three outlets agree on the core specifications.
Specifications
The phone uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Its 6.83-inch OLED display runs at 165Hz with a resolution of 2772 by 1280 pixels. The outlets disagree on peak brightness: GSMArena lists 3,200 nits, while Beebom and Notebookcheck list 3,500 nits, so we are not stating one figure.
The 10,000mAh battery charges at 100W wired and supports 27W reverse wired charging, according to Beebom and Notebookcheck. The rear camera pairs a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation and an 8MP ultrawide, and the front camera is 20MP. Other listed features are stereo speakers tuned by Bose, IP69K dust and water resistance, Wi-Fi 7, NFC and dual 5G. A Redmi D2 chip is listed alongside the main processor. GSMArena says the phone runs HyperOS 4 based on Android 17, a detail from that outlet only.

Prices in China
GSMArena lists the 12GB with 256GB model at CNY 3,499, the 12GB with 512GB at CNY 4,099 and the 16GB with 512GB at CNY 4,499. Beebom matches the first and last of those. Notebookcheck reports lower figures of CNY 2,999 and CNY 3,899 for the 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB versions, which may reflect a launch promotion, though that is our guess and none of the outlets says so. We treat CNY 3,499, 4,099 and 4,499 as the standard prices, agreed by two outlets. None of the three gives a sale date, and we could not locate Xiaomi's own product page.
India outlook
Xiaomi has not announced a global or India launch. Beebom says the phone could arrive in India under the Poco F9 name, but that is speculation, not a confirmed plan. Indian buyers should not assume specifications, a battery size or a price from the Chinese model, because rebranded versions often change the battery capacity, charging speed and camera hardware.
Why the battery matters
A 10,000mAh cell is roughly twice the capacity of a typical flagship battery. Chinese brands have pushed silicon-carbon batteries to ever higher capacities this year, and the K100 shows the idea moving into a phone with mainstream flagship hardware. What the numbers cannot tell us is the phone's thickness and weight, which none of our sources listed, and which will decide whether the large battery feels practical.
What to watch next
Watch for Xiaomi's confirmation of the sale date, any announcement of a global model, and independent battery tests that show how the 10,000mAh cell performs alongside a 165Hz screen.
