ColorOS 17 Rolls Out From October 29 to Oppo, OnePlus and Realme Phones: Full Schedule

Oppo has unveiled ColorOS 17 globally, and it will replace OxygenOS and Realme UI on OnePlus and Realme phones as well. The Android 17 based update starts reaching eligible Oppo, OnePlus and Realme devices on October 29 and rolls out in batches until the first quarter of 2027 (91mobiles, Gizmochina).

Model lists are from Oppo's announcement as published by Gizmochina, 91mobiles and Nokiamob, and by OnePlus and Realme in their own schedules (GSMArena). Updates arrive in phases, so a phone may not see it on the listed day, and any bug can postpone a batch. The package is a few gigabytes; keep at least 10GB free.

OxygenOS and Realme UI are being retired

OnePlus announced in July 2026 that OxygenOS would be replaced by ColorOS from Android 17, saying shared engineering with Oppo would speed up updates; at the same time it said it would wind down in the US and Europe while staying in India (9to5Google, Business Today). Realme UI is being dropped the same way. In practice, phones that would have received OxygenOS 17 or Realme UI 8 get ColorOS 17 instead. ColorOS 17 was shown in China on September 17 and began rolling out there on October 8.

What ColorOS 17 adds

Oppo's new Flow design language, built on its Luminous Rendering Engine, brings floating navigation bars, frosted panels, redesigned icons and animations that respond to touch pressure and direction. Oppo claims 55 percent more stable app launches, 25 percent better app memory retention, and more than 90 percent of initial smoothness retained even with storage 90 percent full; these are company claims.

The AI additions are AI Mind Space for organising screenshots, AI Mind Pilot (an agent-style service that bundles ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity and can sort local files and photos), AI Mind Suggest for proactive travel help, and an AI Photo Agent that edits photos from text prompts.

Where this leaves Indian owners

Oppo has not published an India-specific calendar. The global list includes many models sold in India, including the Reno14 5G Diwali Edition, the Reno12 Pro Manish Malhotra Limited Edition, Oppo's F and K series, OnePlus Nord and Nord CE phones and Realme's Narzo range, so owners can expect their month to broadly match the global schedule, though India dates have not been confirmed. OnePlus users in India are moving to ColorOS with this update.

What to watch next

Whether the October 29 batches arrive on time, an India-specific schedule, and how OnePlus users react to losing OxygenOS. Oppo's Find X10 series launched in India on October 22 already running ColorOS 17.
