Oura Ring 5 India Price Starts at Rs 39,900, Pre-Orders Open on Amazon and Croma
The smart ring is up to 40 percent smaller than the Ring 4, comes in six finishes, and needs a paid membership for most of its insights.

Oura has brought the Oura Ring 5 to India, with pre-orders opening on October 22 through Amazon and Croma's website and stores. The ring starts at Rs 39,900, and the app's health insights need a separate Rs 599 monthly membership (Business Standard, Digit).

| First-year cost (Silver/Black + 12 months' membership) | Rs 47,088 |
| Sizes | 6 to 13 (charger included) |

All six finishes are titanium; Deep Rose is a new copper-rose shade (Gizmochina). The membership is the cost buyers most often overlook: over a year it adds Rs 7,188 to the ring price.
Size and battery
Oura says the Ring 5 is about 40 percent smaller by volume than the Ring 4. Gizmochina gives a width of 6.09mm, a thickness of 2.28mm and an IP68 rating. Battery life is quoted at up to nine days depending on ring size and usage by most outlets, including India TV News; Digit says "up to a week", so expect six to nine days in practice. The sensors have lower-profile domes, stronger LEDs and 12 optimised signal pathways.
Health features available in India
The headline additions are Blood Pressure Signals and Nighttime BP, part of what Oura calls Health Radar. These are wellness indicators, not blood pressure readings in mmHg, and Oura says the ring is not a medical device. Anyone managing blood pressure should keep using a validated cuff and follow their doctor's advice.
Other features for India include GLP-1 Insights (English only, and available on Gen 3 rings or newer), Menopause Insights, and the Cardio Effort and automatic VO2 Max estimates Oura announced on October 20.
What is missing
The optional Charging Case is sold separately and is not yet available in India. No source gives a shipping date for pre-orders, so buyers do not yet know when the ring will arrive.
Is it worth it in India?
A Rs 39,900 ring plus Rs 599 a month puts the Oura among the most expensive wearables in India, where capable fitness bands and smartwatches cost a fraction of that. The pitch is a small, comfortable device that tracks sleep, recovery and stress without a screen. Buyers who mainly want sleep and recovery tracking and dislike wearing a watch to bed are the natural audience; anyone who wants notifications, GPS on the wrist or apps will get more from a smartwatch. India-made alternatives such as Ultrahuman's rings, which do not require a subscription, are the obvious comparison, though Ultrahuman faces a new US patent suit from Oura.
What to watch next
When pre-ordered rings ship, whether the Charging Case arrives in India, and whether Amazon or Croma launch offers change the effective price. Independent reviews of the Ring 5's accuracy, especially for the blood pressure signals, will matter more than the headline features.
