Karbonn Returns With the Rebel and Rebel Pro, 4G Phones Starting at Rs 11,999 in India

Karbonn has launched two budget 4G phones in India, the Rebel at Rs 11,999 and the Rebel Pro at Rs 12,499. Both go on sale on Amazon.in on Wednesday, November 4, at 12 noon IST, after the launch on Monday, November 2, 2026.

India pricing and availability

The Rebel costs Rs 11,999 and the Rebel Pro Rs 12,499, according to Beebom, Digit and The Tech Outlook. Two outlets, AndroidPure and PC-Tablet, list a printed price of Rs 14,999 for both phones, while the others do not mention it. A Rs 1,000 bank offer brings the effective prices down to Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,499. The phones are sold only through Amazon.in, where they are listed under the Amazon Specials banner, according to Beebom.

We could not open the Amazon listing itself, so these figures come from the launch coverage and from Karbonn's launch microsite, which links to the Amazon page. Karbonn has not published a separate price list that we could read, and no press release was available to us.

Specifications

Both phones use the MediaTek Helio G81 chip, an entry-level processor, and both are 4G only. The two differ mainly in screen, battery and camera.

Feature Karbonn Rebel Karbonn Rebel Pro
Display 6.75-inch HD+ LCD, 90Hz, 650 nits 6.7-inch HD+ LCD, 120Hz, 720 nits

Main camera 50MP 64MP
Front camera Not confirmed 16MP
Software Android 16 Android 16
Price Rs 11,999 Rs 12,499

The refresh rate figures come from Beebom, AndroidPure and The Tech Outlook, since Karbonn's own microsite says only "smooth refresh rate" and does not give a number. The Rebel Pro's rear camera is described by some outlets as a dual setup, while AndroidPure confirms only the 64MP main sensor, so we have limited the table to that.

Battery, software and extras

The Rebel's 7,000mAh cell is large for the price, though its 18W charging means a full top-up will take a while. The Rebel Pro trades a thousand milliamp-hours for a faster screen and 20W charging. Both ship with a charger in the box, according to Beebom.

Karbonn's microsite promises Android 16 with two years of OS updates and two years of security patches, and says Google Gemini is built in. It also lists a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C, no bloatware, storage expandable to 1TB and more than 500 service centres. IP64 dust and splash resistance is stated on the microsite for the Rebel, and third-party reports say the Rebel Pro has the same rating, which we could not confirm from Karbonn.

RAM and storage

Memory is the one detail we cannot settle. The microsite refers to up to 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage, and its buying banner lists both a 4GB and 64GB option and a 6GB and 128GB option. Third-party outlets disagree: The Tech Outlook says 6GB and 128GB, while AndroidPure says 4GB and 128GB. We would wait for the Amazon listing before assuming a specific variant at either price.

Colours

The Rebel comes in Blue, Gold and Silver. The Rebel Pro comes in Cherry Red, Blue, Gold and Grey, according to Digit and AndroidPure.

The 5G Rebel and what comes next

AndroidPure and PC-Tablet both report that a separate Rebel 5G is coming later. Price and specifications for it have not been announced, so buyers who want 5G in this price band have no confirmed option from Karbonn yet. Both phones launched today are limited to 4G, which matters because most new phones in India at similar prices now ship with 5G.

What to watch next

The first thing to watch is the Amazon listing on November 4, which should settle RAM, storage and the final price after the bank offer. Independent reviews will show how the Helio G81 handles everyday use, and whether the 7,000mAh battery lasts as long as the number suggests. The timing and pricing of the Rebel 5G will decide how competitive Karbonn's range looks, and its service network will matter for buyers who plan to keep the phone for the full two years of promised updates.
