iPhone 18 Pro in India: Price, EMI Options and Whether You Should Upgrade
The iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₹1,64,900 and the Pro Max at ₹1,79,900, both ₹30,000 above last year's launch prices, with 2TB models reaching ₹3,29,900.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max start in India at ₹1,64,900 and ₹1,79,900 for 256GB, ₹30,000 more than the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max at launch last year. Pre-orders opened on September 12 and sales began on September 18, the same window as the US, UK and most of Europe (Business Today, Beebom).

Correction, October 25: An earlier version of this article said the increase over the iPhone 17 Pro line was about ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 and estimated the 2TB Pro Max at about ₹2,40,000. The increase is ₹30,000, and full variant pricing is below.

India pricing for every variant
| Storage | iPhone 18 Pro | iPhone 18 Pro Max |
|---|---|---|
| 256GB | ₹1,64,900 | ₹1,79,900 |
| 512GB | ₹1,89,900 | ₹2,04,900 |
| 1TB | ₹2,39,900 | ₹2,54,900 |
| 2TB | ₹3,14,900 | ₹3,29,900 |
For comparison, the 2TB iPhone 17 Pro Max launched at ₹2,29,900, so the top Pro Max now costs ₹1,00,000 more (Free Press Journal). Apple India and retailers such as Croma and Flipkart list the Pro Max at the same prices, with bank offers lowering the effective price (Croma).
Both models come in Burgundy, Glacier, Silver and Black and ship with iOS 27, including Siri AI, which handles personal-context requests on the device and through Apple's Private Cloud Compute.
EMI and exchange
Apple and major Indian banks usually offer no-cost EMI on flagship iPhones at launch, spreading the price over several months without interest, though some cards charge processing fees. Apple India lists no-cost EMI on the Pro Max, and Croma showed a ₹6,000 instant discount on the 512GB model. Apple tends to value trade-ins more conservatively than third-party resellers, so check both before committing.
Timing helps this year. With sales starting in mid-September, festive sales and bank cashback offers on Flipkart and Croma follow within weeks, which usually brings effective prices down for anyone willing to wait.
Is the upgrade worth it?
For iPhone 15 Pro owners or older, the case is clear. The A20 Pro's 2nm chip, the variable aperture camera and longer battery life are a big step over three-year-old hardware.
For iPhone 17 Pro owners, it is thinner. The variable aperture lens is new, but the chip gains are more about efficiency and sustained performance than a dramatic leap. If you are not after the camera upgrade, waiting for the next cycle may make more sense, especially as 17 Pro resale values tend to soften once a new Pro reaches Indian stores. Owners of the base iPhone 17 face a ₹1,64,900 starting price for the step up.
What Indian buyers should do
Compare Apple's trade-in value with resale platforms before handing over an old phone, since the gap can run to thousands of rupees. Watch for bank-specific launch offers, which have often beaten Apple's own EMI terms in the first weeks. And if 256GB feels tight, consider 512GB now, since iPhones do not support expandable storage; the step up costs ₹25,000.
