Apple HomeView Costs $299 (Rs 39,900), HomePod mini 2 $149 (Rs 18,900), Apple TV 4K $299

Apple has put prices and dates on its smart home push. At a media event in New York on October 13, it announced the HomeView display hub at $299, a new Apple TV 4K at $299 and the HomePod mini 2 at $149, with pre-orders open for all three. The HomePod mini 2 ships on October 30, while HomeView and the Apple TV 4K follow on November 13. In India, HomeView costs Rs 39,900 and the HomePod mini 2 Rs 18,900 (Smartprix, Business Today).

Prices and dates

Product	US price	India price	Ships

Apple TV 4K (4th gen)	$299	Rs 39,900 (one source)	November 13
HomePod mini 2	$149	Rs 18,900	October 30

The Apple TV 4K India price comes from a Mac Observer comparison and has not been confirmed elsewhere. In India, the HomePod mini 2 costs Rs 3,000 more than its predecessor.

HomeView is the centrepiece

HomeView is Apple's first home hub with its own screen, a 7-inch display for a counter or a wall. The tabletop model comes in silver, starlight, rose pink and space gray; the wall version in space gray or silver, and it needs a separately sold Schneider Home mount from $59.95 (USB-C) or $79.95 (AC wiring), with a $129.95 Power over Ethernet mount due in early 2027. Inside is an A18 chip. The hub recognises up to six household members by face, shows camera feeds and controls accessories, and runs Apple's own software with no App Store. Apple's Greg Joswiak said it is meant to feel "completely personal to each user." Indian reports note it needs an iPhone to set up.

Siri AI is the headline feature but arrives as a beta in software 27.2. Because Siri AI is not available in the European Union, HomeView will not be sold there; launch markets include the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India and Singapore.

A pricier Apple TV 4K

The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K uses an A19 chip, which Apple says gives a CPU up to 50 percent faster and double the graphics performance of its predecessor, as TechRepublic reported. It adds microphones for hands-free Siri and supports four-speaker surround with four HomePod mini 2 or HomePod (2nd generation) speakers. The Siri Remote gains a speaker that chimes to help you find it, and Find My support. At $299 it is $100 more than the previous generation. Siri AI arrives in beta through tvOS 27.2 on the second-generation Apple TV 4K and later.

HomePod mini 2

The HomePod mini 2 uses the S10 chip from the Apple Watch Series 10, comes in white, pink, blue, green and midnight, and supports stereo pairing and multiroom audio. Siri AI comes later through a software update, starting with English in selected markets including India.

Accessories from LG and Schneider

The Home Collection, developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, starts in December with some products in early 2027. US prices: LG Indoor Cam Plug-In $199.95, LG Video Doorbell Wired $249.95, LG Outdoor Cam Plug-In $299.95, LG Floodlight Cam $399.95, LG Smart Deadbolt Lock $349.95, LG and Schneider Home thermostats $199.95, sensors $39.95. All support Thread, cameras record up to 2.5K, and the deadbolt uses Ultra Wideband. HomeKit Secure Video needs an iCloud+ plan: 50GB for one camera, 200GB for up to five, 2TB for unlimited. Indian availability of the Home Collection is not confirmed.

How it compares with the leaks

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that the Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2 would both ship on October 30; Apple instead split them, with the Apple TV two weeks later. The chips, colours, mid-November HomeView window and accessory partners matched.
