US Amazon prices tracked over the October 10 to 11 weekend after Prime Big Deal Days. No end dates were listed and some prices have since gone back up, so check before buying.
Amazon sold the AirPods Max 2 for $429 in the US over the October 10 to 11 weekend, $120 below the $549 list price, alongside record-low prices on the Mac mini, Mac Studio and Apple Watch Series 12 (MacRumors). The deals followed Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days, and prices on Amazon change quickly, so check the live listing before you buy.
The AirPods Max 2 deal
The $429 price covered all five colours: Blue, Midnight, Orange, Purple and Starlight, with stock running low on some. Apple released the AirPods Max 2 in March 2026 with the H2 chip, improved noise cancellation, better audio and Live Translation. The $429 price was not the lowest ever: 9to5Toys notes they dropped to $399 during the summer Prime Day, so $429 matches the best price outside that event.

9to5Mac labelled the Mac mini, Mac Studio and Apple Watch prices as all-time lows. The base M6 Mac mini hit $769 during Prime Big Deal Days itself, according to iClarified, and around $780 afterwards. Prices were already moving: some Apple Watch configurations and the 24GB Mac mini jumped back up during the weekend.
Should you wait?
The AirPods Max 2 discount is about 22 percent off list for a product only months old, a large cut for Apple. For Macs, Apple has since confirmed an October 28 "Pro and Tell" event where new MacBook Pro and iMac models are expected, so buyers who want the newest generation should see what Apple announces first.
