How to shop Steam sales
Discounts on newer games tend to be shallower than on older ones, so the real saving is often on titles that have been out for a year or more. Wishlisting games ahead of time shows which have dropped, and checking price history separates a genuine low from an ordinary promotion. These are general tips rather than anything specific to this sale.
What comes next on Steam
GameSpot listed the rest of Steam's 2026 calendar: Cooking Fest from October 12 to 19, Next Fest from October 19 to 26 and Steam Scream V Fest from October 26 to November 2, followed by an Auto-Battler RPG Fest in November and the Steam Winter Sale in December. There is no guarantee the same games will be discounted again.
