Geely Galaxy has put the Zhanjian 700 on sale in China from 189,800 yuan (about $28,190). The plug-in hybrid off-roader launched on October 10, and its starting price is 10,000 yuan below the pre-sale figure of 199,800 yuan (CnEVPost, CarNewsChina). It is Geely's first rugged off-road SUV and the first model on its GTA architecture for electrified off-roaders. CnEVPost calls it the Cruiser 700, and outside China it will be sold as the Battleship 700.
Prices and the launch response
There are six versions: five regular ones up to 259,800 yuan and a Land Ark special edition at 379,800 yuan. A 6,000 yuan purchase-tax subsidy and a 4,000 yuan insurance subsidy bring introductory prices to 179,800 to 369,800 yuan, and a further 10,000 yuan trade-in subsidy gives limited-time prices of 169,800 to 359,800 yuan.
Geely Galaxy says firm orders passed 10,000 within 12 minutes of launch, a company claim (Yahoo Autos). That is different from the earlier 43,900 pre-sale reservations in the first hour, which were not firm orders. The Galaxy brand sold 130,479 vehicles in September, up 7.95 percent on a year earlier.
