GTA 6 Launch Trailer Confirms November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, Still No PC Date

Rockstar Games has released the launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, confirming the game is still set for November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The roughly 90-second film landed on October 15, about five weeks before release (Inven Global, PlayToEarn).

What the trailer shows

Rockstar says the footage was captured entirely in game on a PlayStation 5. It follows the two leads, Jason and Lucia, through Vice City in the fictional state of Leonida. Rockstar's description reads "Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them," and the story blurb says an easy score goes wrong and drags the pair into a statewide conspiracy.

Highlights include Lucia wearing a monitoring anklet, a helicopter crash, a grenade launcher fired from a helicopter, bank heists, police chases, nightlife and a roof jump into a hotel pool. The soundtrack is a new track, "Flower in a Hurricane," credited to Justice with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

Pre-orders have been open since June 25. Several outlets report US prices of $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, attributed to Take-Two (Tech Insider). Rockstar's own trailer page does not show prices; regional prices appear on the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store listings. The Vice City Collection, a collector's box, is Rockstar Store merchandise, not a game edition.

No PC version yet

Rockstar has not announced a PC version or date. Reports point to early 2027, but Rockstar has said nothing, so treat that as rumour. PC players should plan on waiting for an announcement rather than a date.

A date that has already moved twice

Rockstar originally pointed to 2025, then moved the game to May 26, 2026, and announced the current November 19, 2026 date on November 6, 2025. Take-Two reaffirmed it with its August 7, 2026 results. A launch trailer, open pre-orders and a preload date all point to the game being close to finished, though none is a guarantee.

Early reaction

One outlet reported that the trailer passed one million YouTube views in about half an hour; that single-source figure is indicative only. Rockstar also lists a companion album, Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, pointing to a November 19 release.
