Battlefield 6 came to Xbox Game Pass on October 13, the headline addition in Microsoft's first October wave. Nine games join the service across the wave and nine more leave on October 15, according to Xbox Wire's announcement and coverage of it (Xbox Wire, Tech4Gamers).

<blockquote><strong>Update, October 25:</strong> Battlefield 6 arrived on October 13 through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, playable on Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud, on the same day Season 5 began. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launched on October 23, with campaign early access for pre-order buyers from October 16 (<a href="https://mp1st.com/news/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-4-announced-releases-october-23">MP1st</a>, <a href="https://pcgamer.com/games/call-of-duty/modern-warfare-4-release-date-launch-times-early-access">PC Gamer</a>).</blockquote>

The wave in full

Xbox Wire published the announcement on October 7 under the title "Coming to Xbox Game Pass: Battlefield 6, Valor Mortis, Forever Ago, and More." G2A News and Mezha, which both summarised the full list, agree on the dates. Three games were already available before the wave began: Shape of Dreams, Minecraft Dungeons II and Gears of War: E-Day.

Which tiers get Battlefield 6

At announcement the reports differed. G2A News and Mezha listed Battlefield 6 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only, with Neon Abyss 2 as the one wave 1 title that also reaches the cheaper Premium tier, while Windows Central wrote that it would come to Premium as well. Xbox's October 13 EA Play post lists Ultimate (with EA Play) and PC Game Pass, so Premium members should check the Game Pass app rather than count on it. The game is playable on cloud, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.

What arrives with it

The game landed on the same day as its Season 5 update, which adds Las Vegas and Area 51 maps (ExitLag). Season 5 runs in three phases: Siege of Las Vegas (October 13 to November 9), Casino Heist (November 10 to December 7) and Frozen Aces (December 8 to January 18, 2027), and EA says later-phase content still in Battlefield Labs testing may change. Mezha says Ultimate subscribers also receive EA Play benefits, a deployment pack, Season Five rewards and a 10 percent discount on EA digital purchases.

Windows Central framed the timing as a move ahead of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, saying MW4 arrived three days after Battlefield 6 joined Game Pass. That matches the October 16 start of MW4's campaign early access; the full launch was October 23.

Other notable additions

G2A News describes Valor Mortis as a day-one Soulslike from One More Level, with a Standard Edition priced at $39.99 for those who buy it outright. Chained Beasts is a co-op gladiator roguelike for one to four players, and Bluey's Happy Snaps supports solo play and local two-player. Mezha lists Valor Mortis for portable devices as well, while Beyond These Stars is PC only.

What left on October 15

Nine games departed Game Pass on October 15: A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Evil West, Nova Roma, Pacific Drive, Superball and The Casting of Frank Stone. Most were available on cloud, console and PC, and Nova Roma was PC only, in Game Preview.
